Can colors bore you?

I’ve always been attracted to Black and White photography. I don’t know why. A lot of people I know, who love black and whites don’t know why either.

Maybe in the absence of color, we can focus better on what the image is trying to tell us. Or perhaps we’re just bored.

Some experiments in Black and White. What do you think? Are you bored of colors too?

  1. I keep switching back and forth! I typically shoot in color, but it’s so easy to change it to B&W. I’ve also been sorting through old B&W family photos for my other blog and can see the beauty.

  2. Colors have their place. For one, they can express a wider range of moods. Black and White is more dramatic, but the application of it, at least for me, only works in some instances.

For example, a flower in B&W might allow one to explore the shape and pattern of it, but the absence of color leaves out a lot of information. On the photos above, color is probably not as important. Perhaps not important at all.
