An Arangetram is perhaps the most important event in the life of a classical art performer. It’s when they debut after years and years of practice and hardwork. Everything has to be just perfect.
So when my friend Roy and I were asked to do a portfolio for an Arangetram, we were elated. Here’s an opportunity to do something new. Since this is not the sort of photography we do, every bit of preparation counts.
The shoot is two weeks from today and we went location scouting to make sure the stage was photographer friendly.
All of the following images were shot from the aisle, with available light. Hence the similar angle. I took just the 28-135, my trusty scout-partner.
For the actualy shoot, a 70-200 f/2.8 will be on duty.
Location: ADA Kalamandir in Bangalore, India.
